Bathroom Remodel NJ.
A bathroom remodel may involve altering the layout of the room. Remodels are usually more extensive projects which allow for greater customization of your bathroom. Bathrooms can be partially or fully remodeled.
Partial remodels can involve removing existing walls, adding partitions, creating a washroom, creating a walk-in shower, installing several new bathroom fixtures, installing new vanities and cabinets, adding freestanding tubs, or large tile projects.
Full remodels involve a combination of several of the above items. A “gut remodel” involves stripping the bathroom down to the studs and “starting from scratch.”

Bathroom Renovation/Remodel - Frequently Asked Questions
It is important to have a clear plan for your bathroom renovation. It is helpful to have pictures for reference. This will help to ensure that you get the desired end product. Be sure to discuss all of your plans in detail with your contractor. If you are unsure of what you want, it may be worthwhile to discuss potential plans with a design consultant.
It is also important to manage expectations. All renovations entail a balance of three things:
Quality
Time
Budget
Bathroom Basics.
Homeowners renovate their bathrooms for many reasons. They may want to update and modernize the bathroom. They may want better functionality, higher level of comfort, or improved storage. Some homeowners want to open up space or make a small bathroom appear larger. Bathroom renovations can add comfort to your life, improve energy efficiency, increase the value of your home, and serve as a selling point for your home.
Why renovate my bathroom?
Why hire a contractor?
As a homeowner you may be able to perform some DIY on your own, but you may need professional help with carpentry, flooring, tiling, or installation of new fixtures. Mistakes can be VERY costly and sometimes require part of a project or entire project to be redone. There are multiple factors to consider which will ultimately affect the projects lifespan.
Half bathrooms are typically smaller in size. These bathrooms often contain a sink and a toilet. 3/4 and full bathrooms are generally considered “guest bathrooms.” These types of bathrooms generally contain a sink, toilet, and shower, tub, or shower/tub combination. Larger full bathrooms may have separate spaces for the shower and tub. Primary bathrooms are often larger bathrooms which contain 3 or more fixtures. These bathrooms are usually connected to the primary, or largest, room in the house.
There are several different types of bathrooms which may all vary in size:
Half bathroom (“Powder room”)
3/4 bathroom
Full bathroom
Primary bathroom (“Master” or “en suite”)
